I am a live-out landlord but my family used to live here for 10 years. Now that we moved to Orange County, I rent out the rooms individually.
One of your housemates is Heather, a carpenter and side hustle extraordinaire who gardens and loves home to be a sanctuary. Two others are a low key, down to earth couple (two females oddly enough both named Marissa) one is a dental assistant, and the other is a chef.
The outgoing housemate is the one who made the most use of the common spaces (kitchen, living room, backyard) so whoever joins in will have that opportunity/privilege to make it their own. This is not just a room in someone else's house it would be your HOME!
This house is a good fit for you if:
-You believe home is a place to relax and recharge.
-You are courteous of others and easy to get along with.
-Value and prioritize cleanliness.
Perks of the home include:
-Spacious Home (no cramped apartment)
-Respectful and friendly housemates
-Close to freeways, nice parks and hiking trails nearby.
-Beautiful private backyard with grill, a swing w/canopy, and outdoor furniture great for hosting.
-Washer/dryer in garage.
-Dedicated storage space in garage.
-Landscapers keep outdoors tidy and clean twice monthly.
The room is 9x11 standard and if that is too small for you there is a large office at the entrance of the house that can be yours for additional $350 (entirely optional would be $1550 total for both spaces or $1200 for just the bedroom).
1K deposit and month-to-month agreement. Income verification required.
*Utilities average out to around $120 after it is split
*Heather has a cat, other pets welcome on case by case.
*Drama free couples welcome but $100 additional rent per occupant.
