Position Summary
The Assistant Retail Manager will support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, help lead a team of staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain well-organized, fully stocked, and appealing displays throughout the tackle, clothing & food departments of the store.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor & maintain inventory levels and help with restocking and merchandising of clothing, tackle and food items.
Working independently to create weekly fill-ins of all clothing, sunglasses, sunblock, sundries, convenience & market inventory.
Monitor and maintain inventory pricing & comps to MSRP.
Stay up to date with fishing gear trends, apparel and product knowledge
Step in for the Store Manager when needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of retail or sales experience (management or leadership preferred)
Knowledge or passion for fishing, tackle, and outdoor gear is a big plus
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused mindset with a hands-on attitude
Capable of lifting 30–50 lbs and standing for extended periods
