Here is the STORY:
My girlfriends Dad has a mutual friend that works at the Fender Custom Shop. As an employee they get access to anything Fender. They are allowed to slap guitars together out of parts that weren't going to be used. This is one of these employee parts guitars. You don't have to believe me but that is how he get's these from time to time. I have included plenty of gut shots for you to decipher for yourself.
The neck has a Fender Custom Shop logo on it and a "Relic" stamp at the heel. It is maple with a rosewood slab. It is consistent with Custom Shop quality. It has a 9.5" radius and what looks to be a Medium Jumbo frets. No fret wear.
The body doesn't look like anything I have seen from Fender before. Might have been a test bed for a model. Honestly, who really knows. Has the model carved heel.
