Really a cool amp. If you are into modded Bassman's you might really dig this.
Pay no mind to the "Bassman 70" faceplate as this is not a Bassman 70. Just has that faceplate on there. This actually had a custom made faceplate over that which is shown in the photos. It's kinda funny and cute but ultimately cheesy so I took it off.
This is a 1969 Bassman - Chassis code dates 1969, Iron is 1969, Pots are 1969. Tube chart reads AB165 which again would be appropriate for a '69.
This has been Modified. I did not do the work nor have it done. It rocks pretty hard. You could also roll the gain down and master up if you want all that high headroom clean for pedals and all. But frankly this is a roaring Bassman and that is the party on this one. It does not sound like a Marshall. It's very American and really does the Bassman thing.
Added Presence control is always in the circuit
"OD/EQ" Switch - Can bypass the tone stack (Presence still works) for more volume and more gain
Gain 1 - Get the classic break up of a Bassman at any volume
Gain 1 + Gain 2 - You can blend these to taste or simply crank them and be a dirty dirty boy. Lots of gain. Rock'n gain not Metal gain.
Recently professionally serviced, New JJ's, Biased, And A few other bits changed that drifted from spec.
The V1 Preamp has been removed from the circuit all together. There is a plastic red cover you see over it to keep dust out etc.
I'm not gonna be super keen on trades as I have a good amount of gear that I am pretty happy with. But you can try me. Don't be bummed if I am not interested though.
