One of the most transparent preamps I have ever heard. Solid construction and sleek design. No color, just 100% accurate. It catches transients that other pres have trouble with. If you're looking for color this 'aint it. Unless that's the "color" you want to add to your pallette... no color.
With clear mics (like the Earthworks QTC-1) It would shine during any kind of ambient recording situation.
I am getting rid of it because I am paring down my studio and focusing on audio post work and no longer have a need for this. Better that someone who needs it puts it to good use. It has been well taken care of, but not use in a long time.
