We are seeking a Senior CNC Lathe Machinist to handle high-accuracy, low-volume production work. This role is hands-on in setup, proving out jobs, and supporting first-article inspection. No CAM programming required — but you MUST be highly competent at setup, reading drawings, and machining fundamentals.
Responsibilities
Setup, fixture, and run CNC lathes (small batch, precision components)
Read/interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection sheets
Select tooling and adjust offsets to achieve dimensional accuracy
Work with QC on first-article inspection + in-process checks
Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain process stability
Maintain a clean / organized work area and machine condition
Requirements
7+ years CNC lathe experience setting up and running production jobs
Must be fully competent on Fanuc or similar control environments
Able to hold tight tolerances: ±0.0005" typical, tighter a plus
Solid understanding of cutting tools, materials, feeds/speeds
Comfortable with job travelers, routers, traceability
