My goal is to show you how to code independently, by developing fundamental concepts and techniques. As necessary, I will assist you to clear frustrating roadblocks. My students know me as a friendly, patient person.
I have assisted with robotics projects including robot arms, autonomous cars, and video/audio recording systems based on Arduino and Raspberry Pi. I have coached students participating in the Science Olympiad, local science fairs, and class final projects. Please be aware that I will only guide with these events, you are primarily on your own to produce your competitive design.
I have been tutoring full time for 7 years, both privately and at a college tutorial center, and I also work as a supplemental instructor of calculus at a community college. Prior to this, I worked for 15 years as a scientific programmer, specializing in modeling and simulation of high energy physics. I continue to work part time developing add-ins for CAD systems utilizing laser scanning and point cloud modeling technologies.
I am currently available in the afternoon and evening, including weekends, by appointment. I primarily meet at my home office downtown, but if you prefer, we can meet initially in a coffee shop nearby. My home office includes a wide variety of computer and electronics laboratory equipment.
Please respond with the class/subject for which you need tutoring and times you are interested in. I look forward to hearing from you. My rate is $30/hour
