I am a private music instructor and I have been teaching all over San Diego for more than 10 years. It has been a great part of my life and career and I am now looking for some more students to add to my schedule. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and Sciences from SDSU, and my emphasis was Jazz Guitar.
Student Requirements:
I exclusively instruct adults.
The other requirement is that you own a guitar.
Also, you would need your own instrument items: guitar picks, guitar strings, etc.
Skill Level:
I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced. So, whether you are just starting out, or you have been playing for years, we can do some lessons.
Style:
I teach rock, pop, jazz, funk, reggae, and r and b. (I do not teach classical guitar as that is a completely different musical language)
Location:
I live in San Diego and I teach at my student’s homes and offices instead of teaching from my apartment.
How the lessons go:
I have a ton of material, but I want the student to be in charge of the subjects that we cover. I will pick out the specific sheet music, but if you want to specifically learn scales, arpeggios, basics, beginner to advanced soloing, or just some songs to jam on, I’ll make sure that we base the instruction on that. If you are interested in music theory or more technical aspects of music, we can cover that as well. I’ll just get you playing and studying whatever you are interested in.
If you are interested in taking lessons from me, please respond (by clicking the highlighted "reply" link at the top of this advertisement) and I will receive an email from you. We can discuss pricing, policy, and any specifics, such as pricing for paying for a month’s worth of lessons, versus paying for each lesson individually. If you do not own a guitar, I am more than happy to help pick one out for you to purchase online or at an instrument store that is right for your level of playing and style of music that you would like to learn.
Thank you for reading my advertisement and I hope to hear from you.
