California attorney and Relativity Master available for eDiscovery Project Management in a 1099 contract role, involving platform Administration, Document Review Project Management or both.
Remote-based preferred but I am available to be onsite anywhere in California on short notice.
I can decrease your eDiscovery costs by serving in the dual role of case team member and something akin to an in-house Project Manager handling many of the tasks otherwise done by your hosting vendor at their standard hourly PM rate. My hourly rate is typically around half of what hosting vendors charge for PM services. Plus, as an active member of the bar, I can review case documents for substantive content.
As a member of your internal case team, I can assist with Early Case Assessment and the scoping of matters to help determine the location and volume of the relevant data to be collected, processed and uploaded to the review platform. After reviewing the case pleadings and any known relevant documents, I can also assist with creating comprehensive culling search terms to help minimize hosting costs by ensuring that your vendor only uploads relevant, family-inclusive and de-duplicated records to the review platform.
Once uploaded, I can further minimize the number of emails to be reviewed by "threading" them and ensuring that only full email chains are promoted to review so time is not wasted reviewing duplicate email content. I can create inclusive and well as exclusive search term reports to weed out false search term hits, again ensuring only the relevant documents and records are promoted for review.
I can set up Analytics and Conceptual Clustering to group sets of documents by conceptual content and to find related or similar documents when something of interest is discovered. If deemed appropriate, I can set up an Assisted Review/Continuous Active Learning project and have the system group documents into Relevant and Not Relevant categories after training it with a seed set of known documents coded by Subject Matter Experts. We will then review samples of the machine-coded documents to confirm or correct the coding and further hone the system's coding accuracy until reaching a statistical level of confidence that the system has accurately coded all the documents.
