For about three years now, I've been trying to find the perfect one-watch watch collection. I've bought several excellent watches, from Seiko, Hamilton, Citizen etc, and may have to admit that just the one watch will not be possible, but I can still slim down!

I loved the look of this watch and the functionality: stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, high-accuracy & long battery-life quartz, tritium tubes for illumination and a timing bezel, 100m water resistance, screw-down crown -- so I bought a black version, with date; then, when this polar white version came out, I bought one too, without a date -- thinking I'd sell whichever I ended up liking less.

It turns out, they are both great. The black-dial version came on the relatively more expensive "defstan" nato strap, while this no-date white version came on the much more(!) expensive 3-piece rubber strap. (I don't think I'd pay the $225 stand-alone price that Marathon asks for this FKM (https://www.marathonwatch.com/collections/rubber-straps/products/swiss-made-3-piece-rubber-strap-system), but it definitely feels great.)

It is literally like new; I just bought a white-dial sports/dress watch that looks like a keeper, so I think I'll keep the black dial Marathon in the collection. It has 20mm lugs, which, with the white dial, make it supremely compatible with all sorts of rubber straps and natos. If you've never had a watch with tritium tubes before, I can confirm that is absolutely the best for any work in low-light, to no light. It doesn't fade, and in a car at night, or going in and out of streetlights or moonlight, you always have an absolutely clear, bright view.

Maybe because it was one of the first sold, it came with a few bonuses, like a Marathon baseball hat, which I'll include. All of these are unused. Feel free to email me with any questions.
