Several years ago at the gift shop of St. James-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla, California, I bought this lovely piece for myself. I was told by the store manager that it was handmade by a Mexican jewelry designer Alfredo Franco Varra. I cannot find any markings on the piece. It consists of 15 substantial chunks of red coral with interspersed silver colored metal beads. I do not know the purity of the metal, but am sure it is not sterling since it does not polish. Toggle clasp. 19+ inches in length. Weight 4.9 oz as shown in one of the photographs. In the photographs the metal beads appear to be gold colored, but in fact they are definitely silver colored. Original price $325 plus tax. Thank you for looking at my item.
