Human Resources Representative II (Mira Mesa)

compensation: $65K-$75K (doe)

Outstanding manufacturing company seeks an experienced Human Resources professional to join their team.

Summary:
Under limited supervision, responsible for the various Human Resources functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, retention and termination, employee training, performance evaluation, workers compensation, record keeping and general office support daily administration of a generalist functions covering the different facets of human resources. In addition, responsible for payroll administration and facilities coordination.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Employee Relations
Assists employees in the interpretation of all policies and procedures
Liaison between management and employees for human resources issues
Coordinates employee training with the department managers

Health and Welfare Benefits Programs
Benefits Administration such as health, dental, vision, disability insurance pension plans,
PTO & LOA
Performs insurance reconciliation and audits for accurate billing
FSA Management
401(k) Administration
Coordinates Annual enrollment communication and administration
Communication and interaction with benefit vendors and broker

Recruitment and Termination
Job postings
Coordinates with, and is primary contact to, outside placement agencies
Reviews and screens resumes, coordinate / schedule interviews
New hire orientation management
Job Description management

Regulatory Compliance
Ensures regulatory compliance to federal and state – PDL, FMLA, ADA, FSLA, EEOC, COBRA
Reports employee statistics to EDD, DOL

Affirmative Action
Annual program preparation and implementation
Updates managers on the findings in the work force evaluation.
Maintains tracking database

Record Keeping
Maintains records of Personnel Action, Benefits and Payroll of each employee
Audits I-9 forms annually for compliance

Payroll
Process semi-monthly payroll and special payroll for all employees
Tracks and process paid time off, bereavement; jury duty and holiday pay
Prepare monthly analysis of payroll accounts and monthly payroll journal entry
QAD data entry of Payroll expenses & Payables
Insurance /expense report reconciliation/payment

General Office Support
Receptionist- answer calls; greet guests
Mail distribution
Office equipment management
Support facility issues and interface with property management as needed.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred;
2-3 years of recent human resources experience is required.
Must have at least one year of recent payroll processing experience.
Strong computer skills; MS Office proficiency.
