We have a part-time, 2 days per week (Tue/Wed, Wed/Fri, or Tue/Fri) opening for a friendly, organized, professional Associate General Dentist. Regardless of graduation year, be ready to adapt to our model of dentistry with an open mind and willingness to learn & continuously improve, because that's the daily mindset of the owner-dentist writing this job advertisement! Owner dentist is currently working a very busy 4.5 clinical days per week with goal of reducing clinical days to 3 per week to allow more time with family and accept more comprehensive/specialty cases as a practice. Our 100% fee-for-service practice does not contract with any benefit companies and grows at an organic, consistent, modest rate based almost exclusively on word-of-mouth referrals.
We aim to deliver a high-end private practice experience via our uniquely steadfast San Diego legacy, in operation since the late 1960s. Families, professionals, and retirees come to our practice to experience a more "traditional"-feeling dental home, honest assessments, warm service, patient education, and high-quality care. Most important to the patient following is friendly, gentle demeanor, followed closely by detailed attention to the technical dentist skill set. You will have a lot of fun with our supportive atmosphere, talented team, and legacy San Diego patient base. Our office must be a quality, long-term fit for both you and us.
Your main function will be to help our patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health by performing oral examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of dental issues and diseases. More specifically, we see a lot of bread-and-butter dentistry...direct&indirect restorations, implant restorations, RPDs, extractions, emergency visits. Cosmetic cases and predictable aligner cases also keep us occupied at times!
You must have a current state license, malpractice insurance, and your own disability insurance. New and experienced applicants are welcome to apply by telling us a little about yourself and sending resume.
Compensation $600/day minimum for a full workday, or 28% daily production, whichever is higher.
