REDUCED! This vintage American oak roll top desk with single-piece marble inlay was family purchased from the manufacturer about 45 years ago. It is a classic style, and a quality-built piece. The roll top opens and closes smoothly. All drawers open and close easily. There are 2 pull-out oak writing surfaces, one on the left side, one on the right, just above the top drawers. The one-piece marble inlay is very handsome. The dimensions of the marble: 17” deep x 47” wide. One image is a close-up of the marble against the oak. Overall dimensions: 4’7” wide x 2’ 2” deep x 4’4” tall. This is a very heavy oak desk comprised of 4 stackable pieces. The 2 top pieces are solid oak. ANOTHER THOUGHT WOULD BE TO REMOVE THE ROLL TOP PORTION AND YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DESK TOP WITH A MABLE SURFACE.
-The uppermost piece, which houses the roll top, secures into the second piece.
-The second piece is the marble-inlay desktop.
-The two bottom pieces support the desktop. What looks like 2 bottom drawers on each side, are actually a single deep drawer on each side, for legal or letter-size hanging files and folders.
-The 2 bottom file drawers, and the top center drawer, have inset locks, but there are no keys. The locks are in the open position.
There is no pressboard on this desk – it is solid wood construction using dovetailing. $175.
Also for sale is an oak entry mirror/table which nicely compliments the roll top desk. Dimension: 28” wide x 14 1/2“deep x 6’ high. $50.
