.These vintage French Provincial nightstands were a lucky thrift-store find, and they’ve been part of our guest bedroom for a few years now. Both are matching, made from solid maple wood with a cream painted finish that has been intentionally distressed for a shabby chic vibe. Each nightstand measures 24” wide, 16” deep, and 28” tall.
Each table has one small drawer at the top with delicate brass pulls shaped like scrolling vines. Beneath the drawer is a cabinet door with raised floral carvings. Inside, there’s enough space for books, chargers, or even a small blanket. The curved legs end in graceful feet, completing that quintessential French country silhouette.
Condition is very good. The paint has some intentional wear, which blends beautifully with the style. There are no chips, cracks, or wobbles. The drawers open smoothly, and the cabinets close with magnetic catches.
I’ve used these as bedside tables, but they would also work well as side tables in a living room. They have a romantic, old-world charm that works with everything from farmhouse décor to traditional spaces.
