Garage Kitchen + Bar & The Shout! House:
Located in the Gaslamp of San Diego, the Garage Kitchen + Bar & The Shout! House are two locations under one roof. The Shout! House has been consistently rated as one of the best bars for live music in all of San Diego. While the Garage Kitchen + Bar is launching with an exciting new menu focusing on burgers, sandwiches, and brunch!
Position Summary:
Work fast and efficiently on hot and cold lines in the production of quality food. Work closely with the Chef producing a team effort in production. Depending on which station you are working, you will be responsible for all grilled, broiled, roasted, fried, or sautéed items prepared during service. Duties before cooking are but not limited to making sauces, preparing garnishes, and station organization.
Essential Functions:
Maintain proper food handling and safety procedures for all products.
Preparation, production, and plating of menu items.
Thorough recipe and procedure knowledge for all items produced.
Prepping and stocking all needed product and supplies.
Breaking down, reducing, and cleaning station at the end of shift.
Maintaining and cleaning station before, during, and after shift.
Additional Functions or Responsibilities:
Assisting other line stations and/or prep kitchen with production as needed
Communication status of station and need to lead cook.
Performs necessary cleaning projects, including thorough breakdown and cleaning of equipment
Assist with stocking and cleaning in other station as needed
Experience:
Line Cook: 2-3 year (required)
