Looking for a sushi chef to do farmers markets/pop ups and events. Must have your own vehicle. Drive company car to locations through out San Diego and eventually Orange County/LA areas.
Most of the time you’ll drive my vehicle to the market, set up, work, break down, load up, and drive my vehicle back to my house.
You will be working by yourself so you will be taking orders as well as making orders as if you have your own sushi bar. This is a high volume, high stress position as you will be doing everything yourself. If you know you can’t handle it, please don’t apply.
Must be willing to engage with customers with great customer service. Not looking for someone timid or shy. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and speak fluent English.
Hours are 6-7 hours and pay $25/hr cash per event, depending If you do a busy event, I will pay you extra on top. Possibly make $300-350 per event, cash.
Please don’t waste both our time if you cant roll 100+sushi rolls in a 4-6 hour span, with a rush during peak hours.
Early weekends are a must. Start times can be as early as 6am and end times could be between 230-330p
This only a weekend position but can lead to weekdays as well if it’s the right fit.
I’m looking for perfection with each sushi roll but I’m willing to train the right person
Being able to drive a stick shift/manual car would be a plus
