We are seeking a customer-oriented and experienced Sushi Chef to join our culinary team at our Sushi / Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the restaurant’s brand and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day culinary operations.
• Coordinate food and kitchenware orders.
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients.
• Standardize recipes and plate presentation.
• Work with management to create a memorable experience for quests.
• Communicate effectively in English with the culinary team and restaurant staff. Japanese and/or Korean language is a plus.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields. Korean and/or Japanese cuisine is desired.
• Knowledge of cost and labor system.
• Passion for food and cooking techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Starting pay will be based on experience. $20/hour and up.
