🍝 Lead Cook / Kitchen Manager (Sorrento Valley – MOM’S Pizza & Pasta)
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Cook / Kitchen Manager to join our team at MOM’S Pizza & Pasta. The right candidate will be a hands-on leader who can manage daily kitchen operations while cooking delicious Italian food and pizza.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the kitchen team with professionalism and calm under pressure.
• Cook and prep high-quality Italian dishes and pizzas.
• Manage staff scheduling to maintain labor goals.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation schedules.
• Ensure food and labor costs meet company budgets.
• Assist with recipe development and menu creation.
• Monitor kitchen efficiency and consistency.
• Train, motivate, and support team members.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of kitchen management or lead cook experience (Italian food preferred).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food costing, portion control, and kitchen safety.
• Reliable, professional, and able to multitask under pressure.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
