**Job Title:** Part-Time Restaurant Host
**Location:** Little Italy, San Diego, CA

We are a well-established Italian restaurant located in the heart of Little Italy, San Diego. Known for warm hospitality, thoughtfully prepared cuisine, and a vibrant dining room, we take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience from the moment our doors open.
**Position Summary**
We are seeking a professional, personable, and organized part-time Host to serve as the first point of contact for our guests. We are looking to hire and begin training immediately for the right candidate.
**Schedule**
* Part-time position
* Approximately 3–4 shifts per week
* Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
**Key Responsibilities**
* Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
* Manage reservations and waitlists using our reservation system (OpenTable experience a plus, but not required)
* Coordinate seating with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow
* Maintain awareness of table availability and dining room pacing
* Answer phones, provide accurate information, and assist with guest inquiries
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
* Communicate wait times clearly and professionally
* Support the service team as needed during peak periods
**Qualifications**
* Previous host or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional, calm demeanor under pressure
* Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
* Genuine interest in hospitality and guest service
**Compensation**
* San Diego City minimum wage plus tips
