Bon Appetit Management Company is currently seeking an Executive Chef for a restaurant concept in La Jolla.
We operate lunch service Monday - Friday and Happy Hour on Thursday and Friday nights. The space also does lunch caterings for the building tenants, as well as special events for outside groups of anywhere from 10-300 guests. A typical day for the EC runs from 6:30am-4:30pm on Monday-Thursdays, with one closing shift that ends at 8:30 on Friday. Weekends are typically off save for an occasional special event.

This is a flagship, open to the public concept for Bon Appetit in this market, with a heavy emphasis on fresh, sustainable, seasonal ingredients. Our menu changes quarterly and the EC is expected to run weekly specials to compliment their static menu offerings. Current or very recent experience in a restaurant environment is required, with experience managing food cost, inventory and ordering, labor, contributions to marketing and programming and other operational duties. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in being a part of many of the different facets of running a restaurants, as well as creating interesting, yet approachable food.
