The transmission was replaced entirely several years ago at the dealership while the car was still under warranty. The transmission is supposed to be the toughest part of owning this car, so that is a plus. If someone can fix or replace the Engine this car would be an EASY flip
Full Disclosure (read carefully):
1. Rebuilt Engine
- The engine failed back in March this year, supposedly due to oil consumption (which seems to be common for this engine generation).
- A family friend had his mechanic rebuild the engine and the car has been running since then.
- It recently shut off in August inexplicably and we have a family, so I need to sell it.
2. Check Engine Light
- The check engine light will come on every so often. And the engine has been shuddering occasionally.
- The mechanic who rebuilt the engine said all I need to do is to replace an engine coil or a specific cylinder but I haven't been able to get that done.
The Good:
1. Brand "new" transmission
- When we bought the car we were aware that the transmission was tricky in this model and year of the pathfinder. To get a brand new transmission is a huge plus.
2. Great condition
- The leather interior is in excellent condition; except for one small area on the driver seat.
- Aside from some minor nicks, the paint is also in great condition.
- ZERO accidents
3. Premium Class
- Keyless entry & Remote Ignition
- Middle row AC controls
- Heated seats in front seats and middle row.
- Seat position profiles
- Bluetooth phone calls work great.
- 360 degree Camera system, blind spot warning, proximity sensors all work.
- Sound system is remarkably good.
