Pristine As-New 1988 BMW M6... Zinnoberrott Red (paint code 138) / Sand Beige FULL leather interior, including stitched door panels, roof and console, etc.
In 2009, the original owner conducted an expensive mid-life upgrade which included having Metric Mechanics in Richland Missouri "blue print" the engine to 3.7 liters, recondition the clutch and flywheel. He also added a Dinan Engineering Stage lll suspension, lowering the car 1.5 inches to European specs, new BBS/RS 17" X 8.5" wheels with factory 13mm offset.
M6 enthusiasts will recognize that this allowed for easy replacement of tires (a serious problem once the original factory supplied tires were discontinued). He also added a Stebro of Canadian stainless-steel cat-back exhaust while retaining the original catalytic converter and the car has been continuously smog legal in CA and added a stainless-steel radiator.
The current owner purchased the car from Park Place Ltd. in April 2022 for $87,000 and spent substantial sums to make it even better: replacing original tint film on all windows ($975), upgrading the stereo to a Blaupunkt Bremen Classic Radio w/Bluetooth, with new Amp and speakers by La Jolla Audio($2668), a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires ($892), ceramic coating and PPF protection ($5,635) and ($2941) for hydraulic pump high pressure line, hydraulic brake booster supply line ,steering gearbox return house, cylinder head gasket, cylinder head oil return tube and O-ring, etc. -all of which were performed by a BMW factory-trained M mechanic, ($559) for a Beverly Hills Motoring Red car cover and a 2025 battery. (All documentation included.)
5-speed manual transmission, heated power seats, power windows/power mirrors/locks and air conditioning, all of which work flawlessly, and all tools and first-aid kit.
Additionally, the car comes with a window sticker, purchase paperwork, factory books, sales brochures, and over 8 inches of service records from the beginning to now, and numerous trophies and awards under prior ownership and a brief historical statement from the original owner published in the Golden Gate Chapter magazine. Engine bay and undercarriage also flawless.
Total mileage from new is 102,000 with less than 500 miles per year since the mid-life upgrade. If you had not seen the odometer, you would assume the car is new. It is unquestionably one of the finest in existence.
