I am selling my 280SL that I have owned for over 20 years . The car has no rust nor has it been welded or bondoed . It runs and shifts perfectly . Please check the pictures closely and you will find all of the original spot welds and the original fire wall Matt . It also is numbers matching . I believe I am the third owner . The original mileage is unknown. For all your purists out there ….
No , this is not the original color . It is close but the paint has a strong metallic touch , witch was not available in ‘69 . Also the interior has been redone in grey vinyl and the seats have cloth inserts .
It’s all in beautiful condition but it’s not original . The car is a perfect driver with a ton of potential if you like to bring it back to original condition. The soft top I have not used in years , but it was new when I bought the car and it has never seen rain since then .
The price is firm and I am not interested in trades .
Please be serious and let’s not waste time .
