About the Organization:
Vista Hill is a nonprofit social service organization that has served San Diegans for more than 60 years. The Stein Education Center Programs work with people with developmental disabilities, such as Autism and Downs Syndrome. We have 4 programs that work with adults and a school for ages 6-22. Openings are available in both the adult programs and the school.
Adult Program: The Community Training Specialist (Job Coach) assists clients in building basic hygiene, behavior management, and living skills through community based activities, such as using public transportation, making purchases and working at a vocational site. This position works 32.5 hours a week and comes with paid time off, paid medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plan. Work hours are Monday- Friday, 8am to either 2pm or 3:15pm depending on the day. Locations are in National City, La Mesa, and San Diego off Mission Gorge.
Education Program: The Classroom Aides are is responsible for hygiene, behavior management, and education goals. This position in 27.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8am, to 1:30pm. This position comes with paid time off and employer paid retirement plan.
These positions pay $12.25 to start with an increase after 90 days.
Must pass drug test, background check and TB test. Must be okay with toileting and other caretaking functions.
