What You’ll Do
Read architectural plans, details, and specifications to understand scope
Perform quantity takeoffs (using Bluebeam/plan tools)
Build and maintain Excel-based takeoff and pricing spreadsheets
Request and track vendor quotes (pricing, lead times, exclusions)
Draft clear RFIs during bidding to resolve scope questions
Organize bid files and documentation (plans, addenda, notes, quotes)
Support estimators with proposal assembly and bid submissions
Attend occasional job walks/site visits for scope familiarity and measurements (as needed)
What We’re Looking For
Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized under deadlines
Comfort working on a computer all day (Excel + PDFs + email/phone)
Professional written and verbal communication (vendors + GCs)
Ability to learn plan reading and construction terminology quickly
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
0–3 years experience in construction, estimating, or a related role
Familiarity with any of: Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Excel/Office
Exposure to glazing, aluminum systems, or storefront/curtain wall is a plus
Construction Management / Engineering coursework or degree is a plus
Pay, Schedule, and Benefits
Pay: $55,000–$90,000/year (DOE)
Hours: 40–50/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift (weekends as needed)
Location: In-person, on-site in Escondido, CA (remote not considered)
