Windshield/Sunroof Leak – 2008 Ford Escape. The top windshield stripping is worn and coming off. When it rains or I use the car wash, the sunroof leaks.

* Auto glass shop quote: $400 (likely sunroof issue or clog, not windshield)
* Sunroof company quote: $1,000 (new sunroof)

Looking for affordable repair options or DIY advice. Would silicone work, or should I go professional? Has anyone cleared sunroof drainage tubes successfully? Thanks for any suggestions!
