Role Description
We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Construction / Remodeling Estimator. In this role, you will prepare cost estimates for residential or commercial remodeling projects, analyze material and labor costs, create proposals, and help drive bidding success. Because compensation is structured per job, this role suits someone who is confident in their estimating abilities, efficient, and results-driven.
Key Responsobilites
Visit residential and commercial job sites to assess remodeling or construction needs
Discuss project details directly with clients to understand their goals, design preferences, and budget
Take accurate measurements and notes on-site for material and labor needs
Prepare clear, professional job estimates and present them to clients
Collaborate with the project manager and owner to finalize project scopes and pricing
Follow up on open estimates and help convert bids into active projects
Maintain detailed records of estimates, photos, and client communications
Provide recommendations for materials, finishes, and cost-effective alternatives
Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at every job site
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in remodeling or general construction (estimating, field supervision, or project management)
Strong understanding of home remodeling, additions, and renovation processes
Ability to read plans and drawings (when provided) and translate them into field requirements
Experience in managing construction projects and budgets
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Proficiency with estimation software and tools
Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Certifications (Not Required)
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) – American Society of Professional Estimators
Associate Estimating Professional (AEP) – ASPE
