About 37" x 14" x 2" thick. It's heavy. Almost 20 lbs. Probably custom made in Thailand for the store.
A large hand-carved teak wood sign from the outside of a store that closed in San Diego around 20 years ago. I went in the store then; it sold antique and newer items from Southeast Asia, and the name of the store was Opium Gallery. The sign is solid teak, fairly heavy, carved, with gilt lettering. I bought the sign years later, after the store had gone out of business. It shows some weathering, in a good way.
My final photo shows the storefront when it was still in business in the Gaslamp Area (but with a different OPIUM sign at that time). The place is now an ice cream store.
