This boat has had an extensive exterior and running gear refit with topsides painted with Alexseal paint on the topsides, heavy barrier coats both above and blow the waterline, all new bronze thru hulls, extensive blister repair below the waterline, new dripless seals, one engine overhauled, updated electrical with sufficient solar and battery for off-grid living, all windows rebedded and resealed, and much, much more. However, this is a 70's Uniflite and it is, and always will be a blister boat. Even with the new paint and the barrier coat, cosmetic blisters are coming back, this will always be the case. If this turns you off, move along.
This particular Uniflite is a twin diesel with Detroit 671 inline non-turbo engines. One engine was overhauled, the other is in decent shape. Both engines start and run well, although there is an unidentified issue with the one that was overhauled. Ask me about it for more details.
I have hundreds of photos of the refit process and I spent 4 years with it on the hard doing all this work. The interior still needs some refreshing, the original carpet has been removed so it could use some new flooring, I never got around to that detail. There are various trims and lights that could use repair or updating.
I have an out of water survey from 2021 before it was launched after the refit.
Owning a big, older boat in San Diego is very difficult. Insurance, finding a slip or even a mooring is very difficult. If you don't read this whole ad and ask some reasonable questions I won't respond to you. I will only talk with serious buyers, and serious buyers would read to the end of this short ad. If you contact me, ask about some details and include your phone number. I will either email you back with more discussion or call you if it sounds like you are a good fit for the boat. I'm potentially willing to relocate the boat to Ensenada or up north possibly for the right person. Any discussion of price or 'do you still have it' I will ignore. Honestly the price is not an issue, I am not looking to get any money from the boat, only to find a good home for it. If you don't know anything about big boats, tell me that up front. If you are looking for a first boat I can tell you insurance is going to impossible and if you need or want insurance and this is your first big boat, then this isn't the boat for you. If you have prior experience in big boats it will be far easier. Anyhow I look forward to hearing from some serious buyers.
