Free to good home! I have owned and sailed my 1976 Downeast 32 for the last 17 years but creaky joints and my partners dislike of passage making means it is time to find a new home for Amatheia. I bought her in 2008 and have refit almost everything over the years. She has Hasse sails (good condition) new standing rigging (3 yrs ago), a completely redone interior, a Beta 30 with 1650 hours, Iverson dodger, monitor wind vane (with MRUD), updated electronics (incl SSB and Irridium Go) and simple systems.
She has some delamination in the cabin top which I am addressing this month and will paint spreaders and replace some mast wiring while the mast is down.
I am hoping to find someone that will use her. I had thought about selling her but as her dollar value is pretty modest I thought giving her to an interested person would likely be easier and I am all about easy in my older days.
She is in Mexico currently in San Carlos Marina Seca for the repairs. It is a wonderful (and low cost) place to sail out of for exploring the Gulf of California/Sea of Cortez and further south along the Mexican Pacific coast.
