This study guide aims to improve the math skills of students taking the GRE. Unlike other guidebooks that focus on pages and pages of mechanical drills that may or may not be relevant, this book keeps to the scope of the test and is packed with many invaluable insights, essential tips, and powerful shortcuts to answer GRE questions quickly. Additionally, it explains key concepts and formulas so that the foundational principles are clearly understood and you can get up to speed within a short time. 300 official problems (not found in ETS guidebooks), 250 worked examples, 250 exercises, and a 200-word list from official tests are provided. The official problems are split into ten practice tests. The first four tests comprise 25 problems, the next four tests comprise 30 problems, and the final two tests 40 problems. You should spend 40 minutes on each test and progressively improve your speed in solving the problems. If you can get most of the answers for the final two tests, you are ready for the real GRE. A graphical analysis of the GRE scores and percentiles, some advice on graduate school application, and a comparison with GMAT are also included in the book.
