According to Google:
This is an antique Saxony-style spinning wheel used for turning fibers into thread or yarn. Spinning wheels were essential for making cloth before industrial machinery took over. The Saxony style includes a bobbin/flyer mechanism for continuous spinning and a foot treadle, which frees both hands for the operator. The specific model appears to be an American spinning wheel, possibly from New England, potentially dating to the 18th or 19th century. The drive wheel features 14 original turned spindles, and some parts like the treadle connector are hand-forged iron. Asking $200 OBO [reasonable].
Doing some Swedish death cleaning as my kids aren't interested in my antique collections. The wheel is ready for a new home. Very good condition for its age and all original parts are there. Similiar spinning wheels sell for $300+.
