I’ve been in the marine business for over 40 years and have never seen an Onion lamp this large or as heavy. The Hand Blown glass globe is in Perfect condition as is the Brass cage and frame. Reproductions made today go for a couple Thousand dollars and are poor substitutes. Go online and take a look. The bottom is hinged to allow a kerosene lamp to be used for illumination. The top is also open if you would prefer to electrify the lamp. I have a kerosene lamp that will be included in the sale. If you have the spot to properly display this it will be the focus of that room I promise. This lamp has been in my home for over 30 years and I’m only parting with it now as it’s time to downsize.
