This is an original painting of the River Treska, near Skopje, Macedonia, done by an American artist, completed in 1991.

I cannot quite make out the signature of the artist, which is written in pencil on the back of the painting.
It closely resembles "Dann E Zatarie"

The painting, on a hardboard, was professionally matted and framed. It was necessary for me to dismount
the painting in order to access the back and see the signature, clean the glass, and confirm that the entire image
is visible inside the mat, which it is.

The actual image measures 18" x 20-1/2" and the frame measures 25-1/2" x 31".
