Capstone Funding Group, Inc. is a San Diego based real estate and note investment company that helps aspiring homeowners who can't qualify for financing at a traditional bank to achieve the American Dream of home ownership through our unique programs.
The company is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper / APAR to manage its accounts payable/receivable and renovation project payments along with with collections on our investment projects and other accounts receivable and bookkeeping functions.
The ideal candidate must have substantial bookkeeping experience and technical computer knowledge. The candidate will be responsible for the general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable, and some basic payroll, etc. Compensation will be commensurate with applicant’s experience.

Responsibilities will include managing books with Quickbooks Online for three companies requiring advanced bookkeeping skills and knowledge of real estate transactions, mortgage notes and deferred gains, and class/location tracking.
Bookkeeping responsibilities will include:
Categorizing business expenses and transactions.
Monthly reconciliation and balance of bank and credit card statements.
Ability to enter J/E's.
Minimal payroll processing using payroll company.
Property taxes review and payment.
Deferred gains for mortgage notes.
Set up of mortgage notes and tracking of payment incentives in Autopal software.
Set up and a monthly update of investor statements - interest only and principal/interest.
Tracking of monthly rent payments.
Track properties by location/class and ability to prepare reports by location.
Preparation of financials for tax returns and submission to CPA.
Track filing of all compliance returns.
Preparation of annual 1099's (MISC and INT) and 1098's.
Accounting will Involve:
Paying Property Utilities and Insurance
Managing our Assets
Preparing Documents for loan and note modifications
Autopal - entering deposits and monthly statements
Uploading and separating documents into google drive
Minimum 3 years experience both in both Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Pro 2016 is required.
Knowledge and familiarity with Google's G Suite of Apps is important
Experience with Autopal loan servicing software is a plus.
Ability to work independently.
Responsible and extremely organized.
