THE ROOM AND HOUSE: The master room has a private bath, a walk-in closet with built-in shelves and cabinetry and French doors to the backyard (330 sq.ft. combined). The kitchen is large with plenty of cabinet space. The one-story house will accommodate four mature-minded people who seek a quiet, easy-going setting.
IDEAL ROOMMATE: Military, professional or working person who seeks a non smoking, non excessive drinking, and drug-free environment. (Outside smoking is fine.) Ideally a serious-minded person, considerate of others, fairly quiet, financially responsible and all-the-way-around clean. Interested only in verifiable rental application information, such as employment, emergency contact, etc., no need to submit personal bio or photos.
TERMS: No lease required, but if you need to rent less than six months, a surcharge of $15 per month will apply for the months you stayed under six months. Please, no couples, no semi-live-ins or pets.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: A credit report is not required (credit checks ding your score), but the refundable security deposit is equal a month's rent. When you move out, the security deposit is returned if you surrender the room in the same condition, such as damage free, clean and clear of your belongings.

It is difficult for anyone who is working to commute back and forth across the border since 9/11, but I have no trouble crossing because I get around on a motorcycle. This is a very nice area. There is a park 1/2 block to the north, a convenience store across the street, a supermarket 2 blocks to the east, and an upscale pharmacy next door. It is 3 blocks to the well kept public beach.
If you move in, you will have the place to yourself quite a bit as I ride to my girlfriend's place in Ramona and stay there a couple of days quite often. I am fairly active and I read a lot and play and collect flamenco and classical guitar music and teach guitar occasionally. I am also on the internet quite a bit. I have a home network here, so it is no problem to hook up another computer either WIFI or direct connect. I speak pretty good Spanish which might be a help if you don't.
