Berkeley grad returning "home"!!

I'm so desperate to get out of SD, that I'll be renting a pick-up truck (to haul my stuff) to move myself back to Berkeley. I was training for the Olympics, and have quit due to being too "out of my element" in this crazy city. I studied Classics, studied 8 languages in college,have worked abroad in Greece and studied abroad in Italy, and am a substitute teacher at a private school.

I'd like to leave Sun, but don't know if the rental places will be open. If not, I'll be heading out on Monday, FOR SURE! $50/person... mostly going towards truck rental. So, depending on how many seats are in the truck, and how many people want rides, that price could be lowered.--For all the rideshare skeptics--I'm not trying to make money, just get some of rental and gas shared.

I am looking for a carpool arrangement between Encinitas and Mission Valley 2-3 days per week. My regular hours are 7:30-4pm..Looking to leave Encinitas by 6:45a.m. and depart Mission Valley at 4 p.m.

Puckup and dropoff points are up to you, I'll pick you up at your door and drop you off wherever you like (can drop you off anywhere between SD and LA too) NO walking or waiting for busses on your part. Compensation is negotiable and will depend on distance (for example, if you're going to San Clemente which is halfway to LA, i'll take 6 bucks). Asking for some compensation: $12 for all the way to LA. A one-way ticket on the metrolink is $22 and 17.50 for greyhound and gas will cost me about that much, so I think its reasonable :) I drive 55-60 miles an hour MAX (trip will take 2 hours with no traffic.

This is the first time I've ever done this, so newcomers and feedback are welcome :D

This might be a little hopeless but thought I�d give it a try. I'm a California native living in Lowell MA. and have a couple of pieces of furniture 1 upright piano , a library table and a secretary and about 8 med size boxes and 1 large tote. I'd love to get out to the Lowell/Boston MA Area or any New England state. Moving companies are seeking big $$$'s to do it, ridiculous $$$'s actually.
