Description: Drivers needed for multiple routes/work days
Our Company: QDIC Distributors, Inc. is a growing frozen foods distributor specializing in frozen desserts.
Job Details: The primary responsibilities of the job are driving, merchandising, and servicing the company’s various corporate and independent retail accounts.
There are multiple route positions. One entails only working 4 days a week, however, the days are long and include layovers. The layovers are in hotels and will be reimbursed by the company. The typical work schedule is Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday with Wednesdays and weekends off. However, this schedule may vary depending on the company’s route requirements or customer needs.
The other route position entails working 5 days a week and does not require layovers. The work schedule is Monday-Friday.
There is a combination of driving, physical work, customer interaction, and paperwork. The physical work consists primarily of delivering, merchandising, and handling the frozen ice cream and pizza products the company distributes. There is also occasional cleaning and maintaining of company owned equipment such as freezers that sometimes need to be de-iced. A regular Class C license is all that is needed for this position. However, applicant must know how to drive manual transmission. Must also have experience driving trucks up to 24 ft in size
We are looking for independent, responsible, and safety conscious candidates with good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills are also required for invoicing and paperwork. A strong work ethic and willingness to “roll up your sleeves” is a must. The days start early and our customers have receiving hours so you must be punctual and have the ability to work quickly.
