Job Description:
The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing support of CMT’s technology infrastructure. This position is critical with CMT’s rapid growth to ensure all IT infrastructure can support our growth and expansion. The IT Specialist is responsible for all technology related tasks and activities. The ideal candidate will be hands on and able to assist with the day-to-day technology effort.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure maximum uptime, reliability and security of all IT infrastructure.
• Responsible for long-term planning of technology infrastructure including network, servers, phone system, internal security and office automation.
• Design, implement and evaluate the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software.
• Oversee back office computer operations across the company.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans for all corporate data systems.
• Implement and maintain software licensing.
• Update existing infrastructure system software and applications.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years IT experience
• Hardware and software diagnostic abilities
• Group policy, networking, TCP/IP routing, subnetting, and network security
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Background in firewall, network security, server configurations, MS SQL Server and storage configurations
• Website design, optimization, and SEO experience a plus
• Candidates who have embedded programming experience or applications development experience that might be useful to the R&D team will be given additional consideration
