Aculon, an emerging science based company in Nanotechnology is seeking an experienced full-time Business Manager who can problem solve and be relied upon to complete tasks by taking ownership of their position. This is a key factor to having success with our growing company.


Summary of Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, Salesforce.com and some project management/customer service skills.

Experience with QuickBooks includes payables, receivables, payroll, monthly financial reparation and all aspects of running an office independently. Please only apply if you are confident in your QuickBooks skills, the job starts right away so there is no time to learn. Additionally, candidate should enjoy routine, rules, details and structure as these are integral parts of the job.

The company uses Salesforce.com to manage communication with customers and track projects, familiarity and experience with Salesforce.com is a definite plus.

Must be excellent at following-up on outstanding issues. Be a team player, embrace growth and change and think “outside the box” , be able to change gears quickly, drop what they are doing and move on to something else in a moment’s notice with professionalism. Must have a professional can do attitude, with a courteous demeanor and a high level of personal integrity. Ability to analyze systems and make them more efficient when possible. A mature, motivated self-starter, that is a team player and willing to provide excellent service and assistance to all employees and the company’s organization and maintenance.

The right candidate will be also be able to manage the content on the company’s website and coordinate and execute online marketing campaigns.


Key Specific Responsibilities

• Manages time effectively and prioritizes completing tasks to meet deadlines
• Must be a hard worker, proactive, energetic, positive and able to solve problems
• Provide clerical/administrative support
• Reception (Telephone calls & Visitors)
• Communication with Investors
• Coordinating travel
• Bookkeeping using QuickBooks Method (AR/AP/Collections/Payroll/etc)
• Process Payroll semi-monthly through ADP
• Complete expense reports for senior team
• Maintain regular stock, and purchase of office supplies
• Coordinate building maintenance, and make sure Company is clean and organized
• Inventory tracking
• Communicate with customers and leads
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, banks, customers and owners
• Processing all incoming and outgoing mail and shipments (including extensive International chemicals shipping)
• Run errands as they arise for Executive Team
• Follow-up on outstanding issues
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and management
• Have excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality

Qualifications Required

• 4-6 years hands-on accounting experience
• B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Business Management
• Proven QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications experience required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and fundamentals
• Must possess the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and to deal with ever changing priorities
• Must have strong problem solving skills
• Must be organized & extremely detail oriented
• Must be honest, reliable & dependable
• Experience working with the internet, email, MS Excel and MS Word
• Candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills
