Role: Oversee production, accounting and financial management and sales and customer support.
Reports directly to: CEO and/or designated party as indicated by ownership.
Sales
Target established wineries and major wine companies, selling both standard wooden wine box business as well as specific wooden packaging development,
1. Conduct general sales to establish and grow the customer base of the company, including travel to see potential customers, make presentations, and seek out customers for the company.
2. Ensure the company is providing the proper customer support and all aspects of the company are focused on customer satisfaction and customer retention.
3. Further develop the sales force and act as sales manager should other sales people be hired to assist in the sales effort.
4. Ensure the sales database is up to date and properly utilized.
5. Coordinate marketing: shows, Internet, brochures, mailers as needed from time to time.
6. Formulate price list and all custom quotes. Review all quotes and follow up with repeat customers.
7. Develop new products and provide guidance with custom request.
Production:
The main objective of the function is to manage our Production Manager: ie controlling that systems are put in place ( raw materials planning, weekly production planning, production costing, equipment maintenance..)
Items N° 1 to 9 are our Production Manager direct and personal objectives to be supervised.
1. Determine quantity and purchase at the best price available all major raw materials used to manufacture the company’s products including production supplies, raw wood and any other component needed to ensure a quality and efficient manufacturing process.
2. Develop and Maintain existing sources for materials used in manufacturing product line.
3. Determine the most efficient production plan on a weekly basis and oversee its efficient implement on a day to day basis. Review production parameters to ensure production is cost effective according to best practices.
4. Direct production and provide support with process improvements, engineering, and equipment repair. Make equipment purchase recommendations to ownership.
5. Develop and implement standards to follow in terms of manufacturing best practices. Oversee the labor collection process.
6. Review personnel requirements and direct changes in personnel required to ensure efficient standards of production with the goal of minimizing labor content.
7. Provide direction to production with discrepant raw material, quality guidelines
8. Ensure proper workflow and oversight of manufacturing processes are followed
9. Ensure equipment is maintained in the proper working order, and ensure that appropriate training is offered to each employee to maximize the efficient use of each piece of automated equipment.
10. Develop, implement and oversee shipping and receiving methodology and improvements: packaging guidelines etc, implement, oversee and ensure efficient direct shipping from Mexico to either the customer or Napa warehouse.
11. Coordinate and report to the company CEO on any significant operation and production issues, including weekly and monthly updates to upper management.
Facilities and General Management:
1. Suggest, plan and implement equipment purchases if approved by company ownership.
2. Implement ownership approved improvements (people and equipment) to support growth of company.
3. Review bookkeeping and P &L financials and submit for corporate review. Actual figures to be prepared by others. Approval of purchases up to specific dollar amount to be determined by experience.
4. Oversee all facets of the production operation.
5. Oversee and review direct and indirect employees
6. Provide directors with support information and reporting on a regular basis and establish and maintain company permits, licenses, bonds, insurance and other company documentation.
