San Diego Jewish Academy, a private college prep K-12 school, seeks a full-time Director of Marketing and Communications. Responsibilities include establishing and implementing the strategic marketing plan for the school; maintaining effective public, media, and community relations; serving as the School’s public affairs and media communications coordinator; and maintaining contact between the School and the alumni community. This position requires a high level of independent decision making along with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus three years experience in communications, writing, and editing public relations materials; or, any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job required. Intermediate skills in MS Office, including Publisher, plus experience with graphic design software required, along with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Successful prior experience in establishing and implementing a strategic marketing plan is highly desired.
