GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Product Manager will be responsible for the development of overall marketing programs for a complete product line exclusively distributed by the Company. Coordinates the development of sales objectives, strategies, advertising, educational and promotional programs and ensures the execution of these programs at the field level. Gathers new product ideas and evaluates their potential and their practicality in our marketplace. Additionally, the Product Manager serves as the day to day liaison with the manufacturer and manages operational issues relative to them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Manage the overall manufacturer partnership and serve as product manager for the entire product line:

A. Effectively partner with manufacturer, to identify and bring to the Company the exclusive product offering.

B. Become the product expert within the Company specialties organization.

C. Manage the new vendor set up, new item set up, and pricing within the internal system. Ensure proper completion of product setup and vendor compliance with Company requirements.

D. Manage field communications and marketing efforts for products sold including product announcements, launch materials, codes, pricing and collateral literature.

E. Track sales and inventory issues and serve as liaison with manufacturer on a day to day basis.

F. Develop and execute effective marketing strategies, which promote the existing products and ensure successful launches of new products (i.e., pricing, packaging, marketing support literature).

G. Analyze market trends and potentials. Provide input to the management of both the manufacturer and the Company for use in preparing forecasts and controlling inventory levels. Manage and monitor obsolete products lines effectively.

H. Monitor daily product line sales and availability. Develop promotions as needed to ensure successful sales movement of product.

I. Manage print advertising for products, including ads in Company publications (monthly sale flyer, category flyers, catalog, etc.) and all advertising in third-party publications (trade magazines, journals, etc.). Oversee creation of all ads, working with the creative team and the manufacturer collaboratively

J. Coordinate initiatives related to the product website to include appropriate manufacturer content or links.

K. Assume complete control of existing and future continuing education programs including; scheduling, course product fulfillment, speaker coordination, field sales involvement, attendee sign-up, catering and venue control in coordination with Company team.

II. Perform other duties as requested such as:

A. Attend and participate in sales meetings, sales training, educational courses and seminars.

B. Develop/support relationships with clinical trade organizations.

C. Coordinate research projects, special projects and promotions.
