Full Qrtr bars, 7 inch gullet Leather endurance saddle. Looks a bit like a round skirted western without a horn.

If you 've been shopping for a trail or endurance saddle, you know an all leather, well made 7" gullet is hard to come by in this price range. Fits our 15.1 Morgan beautifully. Round skirt works well on smaller horses too.

It has a 15" seat with nice seat stitching. American Hand Made.

All black, no horn. Great for endurance/trail. Fenders have a good range of motion.
Unlike leather rigging...Biothane rigging lasts almost forever!Areal plus for cleaning and a must with endurance saddles. A little oxidation on some rings, doesn't effect function, & it's no biggie to look at.

EZ Ride Leather cage stirrups available for an additional 65.00. These leather covered EZ ride Stirrups were $90.00 new a few months ago. Or if you prefer, I will include wrapped/laced originals w/ the saddle.

Fits me like a western 14 1/2".

Biothane centerfire rigging, simple acorn tooling on flaps, beautiful stitching, really breathtaking fleece underside, stylecast R406 tree. The other number stamped on the under flap is.. No65764. There is one other sequence of numbers I can email if you like. Set for western cinch rigging.

I like this saddle best with western trail stirrups. Saddle is a bit lighter in color than picture shows. Plenty of D-rings, crupper ring and petite horse shoe loops to match breast collar hardware and findings. This saddle retails new from $2200- $2400, not including upgrades, tax, and shipping. My 15.1 Morgan mare rides great under this, but she is no longer doing long trail rides and the saddle is sitting in the house not getting used.

A really pretty saddle, feminine scalloped saddle edge, comfortable for endurance, trail/ pleasure. A very high quality saddle. You may not find better leather anywhere!

This is very well made bamboo fencing that we purchased from Solai bamboo, here in San Diego. This is a substantial screening-fence made of very nice 2" diameter bamboo - very attractive! There are six sections of 4 feet high by 4 feet long fencing - for a total of 24 linear feet of fencing (the pictures show just one of the sections). We had intended to use it as a fence to screen our pool equipment, but we went another way. The fencing is in very good condition.

Adds a really nice architectural interest to a corner of your garden.

We paid $270 for these 1 and 1/2 years ago.

This is a good fast growing shade tree- unusual and spectacular, it has 3 foot long leaves, a nice yellow flower and then starts to branch out after flowering. Grows to about 40 feet in so. california. Loves heat and good drainage. Always an attention getter in our tropical landscapes because of its exotic look, and very popular with cycad growers who need some quick canopy. Although they are a tropical tree, the Brazilian Fern Tree has proven hardy to at least 25 degrees in inland areas where they get lots of summer heat.

These are nice 5 gal. size, also have some larger size like the one in the foto below (15 gal.) for $80.

Alluaudia procera, or Madagascar Ocotillo, is a deciduous succulent tree native to Madagascar. In many ways it resembles our own Ocotillo (Fouquieria splendens). Both have small rounded leaves and grayish trunks with a lot of spines, but that is where the similarities end. The plants will reach 60 feet tall in nature and are usually unbranched. In Madagascar, the wood of the plant is used in building and for charcoal. They are interesting plants and should be part of any drought tolerant plant collection.

We have some nice 15 gal. trees that are about 6 ft tall, and 5 gal. size for $30. Also some bigger ones along the rest of our bamboo, palms and succulents-

Beautiful Blue Breasted Quail 'Buttons' available. I have all ages, from chicks, $5.OO, to adults, in some beautiful and unique colors seldom found, including White. These quail are the smallest of quail and will provide you with eggs at only 8 weeks of age.

Please, if you want week old chicks you will still need to provide extra care, including ground seed and feed, fresh water in water safe containers ( to keep the chicks from drowing ), and a source of heat such as a small light bulb in a small reflector housing for the chicks warmth. This is only required for a couple of weeks.

I will provide you with information on raising these quail from eggs to adults.

Colors included, Hard to find Whites, Normal Wild, Blue Face, Red Breasted, Splash, Pied, Cinammon, Silver, Pearl, Slate, Fawn, and Chocolate.

These are great birds for any aviary or cage. Keeping aviaries and cages clean of discarded seeds and fruits. The also get along great as a community bird kept with finches, canaries, diamond doves,parakeets and other birds.

You will enjoy these birds as they are very easy to care for, and entertaining to watch as they dart around making their occasional 'quail calls'.

These quail are raised at my home in Universty Heights and not subjected to other birds. They are very healthy and disease free.

15 gallon Cycas taitungensis (Oceanside) $80

Cycas taitungensis is a medium sized cycad to about 10' tall. They have dark green leaves and quite similar in appearance to C. revoluta but more rare, but it gets larger with a more open crown and broader, flatter leaves. also known as the Prince Sago, or the Emperor sago.
This species used to be widely known under the incorrect name C. taiwaniana , until it was properly described in 1994. It is used to make tea in its local area.
Moist well drained spot in full sun. Said to be the fastest grower of all the cycads. To get the best growth give the plant full sun, and regular fertilizer. It is also frost tolerant, and able to withstand temperatures down to -10�C (15�F). Many more, the cycad on the left is a Cycas thoursii they are $30 in 5 gal. and 45 in 15 gallons.

$300.00 each (firm, see deal below) I have 15 more of these, 400watt HID lamps with ballast and starter capacitor, they are in outdoor weather resistant enclosures but the insides look like the picture, and are all you really need, you can change reflector easily to many aftermarket designs. Similar lights go for $600 and up new. The bulbs may or may not be affected by transport, new ones are about $26-$70 depending on phosphor layering for spectrum control. These are commercial Holophane units. They come in white painted potmetal cases with full weatherproof glass lens and is 120vac wired with leads hanging out, NO PLUG $.99 at the hardware store. Very Heavy, if you want them shipped you will pay shipping costs. If you want only insides, I will take them apart for $20 each, it takes about an hour to take it apart safely. Saves about 1/2 the weight(not 1/2 the cost! ha ha). Quantity discounts apply to both units and labor. Buy 5 and I'll take $50 off total. You get the idea. It's not hard to do, but if you're even slightly doubtful about how to wire these, call a qualified electrician to install them for you. These are commercial professional lights and extreme caution must be used in the area around the capacitor and ballast as HIGH voltage is present. POSSIBLY LETHAL VOLTAGE/CURRENT is present and extreme care must be used, as well as, personal protective equipment while installing. Extreme heat is generated by both Ballast and Bulb, take caution when handling HOT units. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPROPER USE, or DAMAGES/DEATH/LOSS, due to NEGLIGENCE. Items are sold "as is", although seller maintains all units are in "like new condition" and will test prior to shipping. I am trying to get time to test them all but they are in storage. SERRIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. These are not really bright ideas to use for small garage lighting either they emit tons of UVA/B they will cause you to get a "sun"-burn. Similar to most warehouse lighting, Parking lots or outdoor backyard is okay with an appropriate height pole/house to mount them on. These units specify Horizontal Mounting and replacement bulbs must have "HOR" stamped on it. The second image shows it on after about 10min these bulbs warm up to operating temps and generally cycle 50-75hz some flicker is normal at start up, after 15-20 min there should be no flicker, if there is you may need a new capacitor, radioshack?? or homedepot. $15.00 +/- the flicker in the image was not visible to the naked eye, but you shouldn't be looking at the arc in the bulb anyways! BAD

A great palm for California. Freezing to below freezing temps were shrugged off by even young palms. The cold tolerance of this exotic looking plant was a pleasant surprise. They also have the ability to be fast growers in non tropical climates-at least to quickly grow new fronds if not trunk.
In ten or twenty years they will be seen all over California dotting the urban and suburban landscape.

The culture is-sunniest and warmest spot with much summer water and fertilizer.I found they even grow fast in pots,given enough root room. A fast draining mix is best as usual for potted plants.
This palm, grown under the proper conditions (warm and humid) is a very fast growing palm.
There are two forms, green and blue. The blue form is much more spectacular and is an excellent large specimen plant for most areas of Southern California, from the deserts to the coast. This form, once maturing, shows little leaf damage until the lower 20s.
Bismarckias have one of the most massive and impressive crowns of all the palms. In its native Madagascar it can be seeing growing in the drier areas far above the scrub- a very awe-inspiring sight.

This is dioecious palm... in other words, you will not get viable seed unless you have a mature male and female near each other

Leaves are costapalmate- those are palmate leaves with a curve near the tip and a large costa (mid-rib) down the center of the leaf). Leaves a very stiff, heavy and have a waxy coating (especially the blue form- waxy coating can be rubbed off with your hand to expose the green leaf beneath).
Expensive,but well worth it. Trouble free and fits in with the sunny jungle or Xeric garden design. A new introduction to our area,and a big hit it is.
