Part Time; Thursday Evenings
Basic Assignments:
The Specialty Instructor II - Hip-Hop will instruct classes for adults and children with a positive and high energy enthusiasm as related to hip hop dance.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 year experience teaching dance- choreography experience
Experience working with children and/or adults
Ability to teach beginners by breaking steps down
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
Ability to adequately observe participant, enforces safety regulations and apply appropriate policies and procedures
The physical ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skill
Must be a role model
Minimum age is 18 years old.
CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of hire.
Major Functions:
The ability to instructor dancers ages 10 years old and up.
Maintain a safe environment at all times
Attend scheduled staff trainings and meetings
Willing to learn new teaching techniques
Willing to participate in holiday and spring performances
Must maintain regular communication with participants and families regarding programs and events
Regular communication with Performing Arts Supervisor.
Maintain excellent customer service
Maintain class rosters and assure registration of students
