Managing General Agency seeks an experienced Commercial Auto – Transportation Insurance Underwriter. Lines of coverage include Auto Liability, Physical Damage, Cargo, General Liability, & Garage Liability. In this position, you will underwrite and control business from assigned retail producers. You will determine acceptability of the account by analyzing exposures, determine acceptability, and adequately price the account. Communication with management regarding individual accounts, production sources, and general account management will be essential.
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Underwrite and select new business which will produce an underwriting profit for the company. Actions include reviewing submissions to identify exposure and risk from the information provided.
• Determine terms, conditions, and pricing which are within underwriting guidelines.
• Underwrite renewal business and handle related servicing.
• Monitor producers for profitability and production. Market products and communicate with production sources in a way which will foster an attitude of partnership.
• Participate in audits and/or underwriting meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience underwriting Commercial Auto &/or Transportation accounts.
• Have a positive attitude and be willing to learn.
