About the Opportunity
The Business Analyst will compile, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators to support daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals across multiple channels. The position is critical in helping the organization gather the relevant insight necessary to see the key business intelligence driving and improving customer retention. Of critical importance in this role are the abilities to process large amounts of data from various sources and to see the trends and patterns that emerge to tell the story that the numbers convey, in order to rapidly adjust to the realities of the marketplace. The Business Analyst is responsible for providing this critical insight through both manual and automated report generation to ensure that all aspects of the customer lifecycle are properly measured against established goals (KPIs), and to provide the mission-critical information necessary to reach and exceed those goals.
Responsibilities:
Consult with business users and internal resources to determine their current tracking requirements and fully document existing reporting infrastructure.
Gather, translate and refine business requirements from key departments into functional specifications for reporting needs.
Create reporting methodology to collect data measurements in order to create accurate reports.
Generate detailed reporting structures that do more than just pass along numbers reporting should illustrate advanced analysis of data, and should provide insight into the story that the numbers are telling.
Produce both graphical and text-based business intelligence documentation that clearly and concisely demonstrates not only an understanding of raw data, but which indicates a higher-level understanding of the information that can be drawn by correlating disparate data sets. The ability to recognize trends and anomalies, and to define and describe each meaningfully, is essential to success in this position.
Document the processes used by which data is analyzed and reports are generated.

Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related area.
Superior quantitative and qualitative analysis and problem solving skills required.
Hands-on, creative problem-solving approach focused on root-cause analysis.
Expert in advanced data analysis techniques utilizing MS Excel the position will take ownership of complex spreadsheets and handle significant data manipulation in order to perform trend analysis.
Experience with SQL report creation in SSRS, Crystal or like reporting programs, and/or the ability to run ad-hoc SQL queries.
Detail oriented, with big picture vision.
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy, prioritize tasks, and self-direct.
Ability to interface with all levels of an organization
Positive, enthusiastic nature with a passionate dedication to success
Previous experience in a start-up environment is a plus
Comfortable in a demanding, dynamic, and high-energy environment
Must have exceptional written and verbal communications skills
