Make History!
Work to Elect Barack Obama in November!

Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. is running campaigns on behalf of the National Democratic Party to Make History by Electing Barack Obama this November! The lengthy primary season has significantly shortened the time we have available to prepare for the general election, and we need to make sure to sign on as many supporters as possible! This year, we can truly make change and make sure that our country is back on the right track!

We are hiring Canvass Directors immediately!

Job Description:

Directors will lead a fundraising office on behalf of the Democratic National Committee. Since Obama has pledged to fund his entire campaign through individual support, without accepting lobbyist or PAC contributions or federal tax dollars, we must talk to as many people as possible and sign on new small donors to close the gap between us and the Republicans!

Prior political field work is not a requirement; we provide apprenticeship and training to entry-level candidates. Of course, relevant experience is an asset and may qualify candidates for additional leadership positions.

If you are looking for a great way to get involved in this election and make real change at the grassroots level, this position is a great place to start!

We are looking for staff in San Diego and are accepting applications for cities around the US.

TO APPLY: Send cover letter and resume to Peter at jobs@grassrootscampaigns.com or visit our website: www.grassrootscampaigns.com/jobs.php.

Grassroots Campaigns is an independent political consulting firm that specializes in running field operations and fundraising for progressive candidates, causes, and organizations. Current and past clients include: the Democratic National Committee, MoveOn PAC, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Applicants will be employed by GCI directly, not by our campaign partners.

It is the policy of Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. to absolutely prohibit the flow of information between employees who are or have provided services to candidates, their committees, and political parties and those working on projects and providing services to entities making public communications as defined in the FECA or similar communications as defined in relevant state or local election law.
Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. is running campaigns on behalf of the National Democratic Party to Make History by Electing Barack Obama this November!
We are hiring Canvass Directors immediately!

76% of Americans are dissatisfied with the way things are going today. And why wouldn't they be when:

The U.S. is pouring $6 billion a month into the war in Iraq, money we could use at home to expand health care, improve access to higher education, and invest in alternative energy sources to combat global warming. Here’s why you should Invest in US:

* From dangerous heat waves and shrinking snowpack to extreme drought and increased wildfires, the dangers of global warming are cause for immediate action. Energy efficient homes and businesses, cars that go farther on a gallon of gas, and renewable energy like wind and solar are the solutions, and they’re at our fingertips.

* Many qualified high school graduates can’t afford to go to college. Many more who can are forced to go deeply into debt to get a degree. Too often, our public schools don’t have the resources they need to properly prepare students for college.

*40 million Americans have no health care, and 9 million of those are children.

We have the technology, the know-how, the money, and the spirit to start working toward solving these problems.

Take a stand for America’s future.
Apply to be a Progressive Future Canvass Director

If you’re looking to start a career working for nonprofit, progressive groups, there’s never been a better time or a better way. Between now and Election Day we’re hitting the streets, getting on the phone, going door-to-door, working on college campuses, and organizing volunteers to make sure that decision-makers hear from progressive Americans that want to bring our troops home, ensure health care for all, invest in a stronger education system and take serious steps to stop global warming. This year, with your help, we’ll register and mobilize 1.8 million voters in the swing states of CO, NV, NM, MT, VA, OH, IA, MI, WI, PA, and NH.

Ideal candidates are motivated, action-oriented college graduates who are interested in politics and want to make a difference to get the country back on the right track. If you are interested in applying, or just want more information, check out our Web site at www.workforprogress.com, and then apply directly by emailing your resume and cover letter to Cynthia at jobs@workforprogress.com.
