My duties included; picking up the children from school & driving them home, after school snacks, homework, play time & sometimes preparing dinner.

2- Over the summer of 2007 I was taking care of 3 boys (4, 6 & 8) every other weekend as their night time nanny. I would start at 8 pm ( Friday & Saturday) night and end the next day at noon. This job included cooking breakfast, lunch, providing snacks, baths, stories, swimming & lots of outdoor play time. The single dad that I was work for is no longer working nights as his schedule has since changed to days and I was no longer needed.

3- School years 2006 - 2008 I was taking care of two boys. I pick them up from school 2 afternoons per week, feed them a snack, get them changed into there sporting gear & take them to either baseball or soccer practice/games. After wards we headed home and I help with homework, reading time and sometimes prepare a simple dinner & baths.

Hello, I am wanting to be a stay at home mom and have decided it's time! I am starting the process of getting licensed but will never have more than one families kids at one time, which I can do now without a license I just think it adds that extra bit of comfort every parent needs. I have a daughter who is 11 months now and would love to watch your child or children as well. I know what its like to not want to drop your child off at a daycare center with so many other kids, I will give your child all the attention and love that they deserve! I will stick to the schedule that you request and do everything or anything that you feel is appropriate for your little one. I will take care of the food if your child eats table food feed him or her breakfast, lunch and dinner and also stick to any diet restrictions. If your child is on formula or breast feeding you of course will have to supply that. The cost of formula is outrageous isn't it? Also I ask that you supply diapers ill take care of wipes, creams, all the toiletries. I am very open to the hours ill even do overnights and the ages of the kids. I am asking 150 weekly unless there are excessive hours or more than one child. I am even open to picking your child up if it works out. We do have a dog at the house she is a boxer and has been around my daughter since birth, hey you can even drop your dog off for the day as well the dogs can have lots of fun together. I know when we leave ours at home by herself she tends to make a huge mess. I am not anal at all really just a regular everyday mom. You might come in and find toys all over or after a day of baking or arts and crafts we might have decided to enjoy our new creation instead of cleanup right away, yet I am very proud to say that my home is clean just a very large toybox if you will. I will take care of your kids like they deserve to be taken care of and give them that one on one attention like every child needs. Unfortunately our current AuPair, Josephine, will be leaving us in March, as she was only here in the United States for 1 year. We love Josephine and are extremely sad she is leaving. I've tried everything to get her to stay, but she misses her family back in France and is eager to reunite with them. So I am faced with the daunting task of trying to find someone as wonderful as JoJo (my children's nickname for her). I know this is a few months away, but I know it will take time to find the right person for the job.

A little bit about my family:

We are Jaclyn and James Arbogast, and we have 3 boys, Adrian (8 1/2), Jack (2 1/2) and Nathan (1 1/2). We currently reside in Serra Mesa, San Diego, off of Aero Drive. We are a military family, and just moved here in October. I work for the Coast Guard at Sector San Diego in Downtown San Diego, and James is a Marine, working at MCAS Miramar only 10 minutes from our home. James' schedule is Monday-Friday, where as I am on a rotation with 2 days on and 3 days off. We are looking for someone from 7am-5pm, Monday thru Friday. We live in a quiet development where we have great playgrounds and a community center with a pool. We do not have any pets. Adrian is in 3rd grade and attends Angier Elementary School which is located directly across from our home so he walks to school.

Our current situation is Josephine is our live in nanny. We would prefer to have a live in nanny as that seems to best suit our family, but we know that we may not have that ability with our next nanny. We offer 2 weeks paid vacation per year, are flexible to adjust around the holidays because we understand everyone has their own families to tend to as well. Living in our development our new nanny would have access to a private gym in our community center, as well as gated pool area, toddler gated play park, and if they choose, their own private, furnished room in our home. Compensation would be $275-325 weekly. Above all, we are looking for someone who will be a part of our family, as we believe that having a nanny is not just about having our children taken care of, but also adding that right person to our family. Josephine is always included in family events, and has even vacationed with me and the children in San Fransciso, and this was in addition to her 2 weeks paid vacation. Like I said, we are looking for someone to be apart of our family, not just watching from the sidelines.

Daily responsibilities would include the following:

Feeding the boys breakfast and lunch.
Help Adrian get ready for school.
Washing the children's laundry, folding, and putting it away.
Cleaning as it pertains to the children: toys, clothes, diaper changes, the boy's bedrooms, etc.
We do not ask our nanny to do housekeeping or run errands as we feel it's our responsibility.
Keep the boys on a consistent nap schedule.
Enjoy our children, through games, time at the park, etc.

Precious People Childcare is the best thing that could have happened to us! They give loving, individualized attention to each child and work with the parents to ensure the child is happy and thriving. We couldn't be happier with the love and care they give to our daughter, Kendra, who has been going there for over a year. She absolutely enjoys going to daycare, seeing her friends, and learning more than she would have if I had kept her at home and tried to do it myself. Even though Kendra is barely two years old, she shares some of her experiences at day care: she teaches us songs that she's learned there; she shows us new sign language; tells us what yummy food she got to eat there; and of course she can't wait to show us and tell us all about her artwork and whatever craft she helped make that day. I'm glad that it is a preschool too. Now Kendra won't have to leave her friends to go to a separate preschool and she can stay in that wonderful environment until she is ready for kindergarten.

We have been extremely happy with Precious People Daycare. Patti and Kristi are very observant, supportive and closely connected to each child and their differing needs. They discipline in a very positive and fair manner and provide useful guidelines and ideas that can be used at home. The environment is clean, safe and set up with activities/toys to stimulate the children at each development stage. They have taught/exposed our son to fun songs, the basics - counting, colors, shapes, animals, new vocabulary, but most helpful/important has been emotions and how to express his feelings. Our 2 year old enjoys the creative crafts he/they complete each week and says his favorite thing at Mrs. Patti's house is his friends and doing artwork. We also enjoy the personalized, creative calendar noting the planned activities/educational areas that we receive on a monthly basis.
